SCARCE U.S. CARTRIDGE 3-PANEL CARDBOARD DISPLAY. Display with the central panel by William Hamilton Foster depicting an old gentleman sitting on a rock with a Parker double barrel shotgun over his knees loading his pipe. Titled “There us’t to be rabbits in these here woods”. The background scene is a dense woods with three visible rabbits. The left wing is an advertisement for U.S. Shot shells with flying ducks in the background. The right wing is an advertisement for U.S. rifle ammunition with a running white tail deer in the background. SIZE: Central section measures 41-1/2” t x 26” w. with overall width including two wings of 57” w. CONDITION: About good, lightly faded with moderate soiling and the two wings are reattached. The fold in the central panel will no longer stay erect. The tripod is complete. There is some water damage on the bottom, not severely affecting the image.
