15″, (38 CM), FRENCH FASHION DOLL BY BARROIS. Pale pressed bisque shoulderhead with cobalt blue eyes, closed mouth, on an all kid body, with gussets only at the hips. She is signed on the front of the shoulder plate “E 2 DEPOSE B”. She wears an antique honey-colored wig elaborately braided, and has been expertly re-costumed long ago in a two-piece walking suit of pale green taffeta with purple silk ribbon trim at the sleeves, at the collar, and at the base of the skirt. She wears a coordinated fancy bonnet with cloth flower bouquet decoration. The hat is signed by the dressmaker “Wakeman”. CONDITION: Bisque and body very good, hands possibly whitewashed. 1-7216 RS (1,200-1,800)
