UMBILICAL CORD AMULET CIRCA 1900. Consignor states that this is an “Umbilical cord amulet, circa 1900: Northern Plains / Plateau style—possibly Blackfeet. Of elongated diamond form beaded in opposing quadrants in white and navy blue seed beads; hollow brass beads and metal cones on pendants and suspension thong”. Size: Overall length 20”, amulet proper 7-1/2” x 2-3/4”. CONDITION: Unbeaded back slightly cracked, surface soiled; no apparent damage to missing beads. 4-55216 (400-600)
