SHAKER NO. 6 ROCKER WITH ARMS. Third quarter 19th century, probably Mount Lebanon, New York. With webbed weaving on back and seat, the stiles with acorn finials. Shaped arms with knobbed grips, simple cylindrical legs joined by double box stretcher on rockers. For similar example see pg 142, No. 6 model of The Complete Book of Shaker Furniture by Timothy D. Rieman & Jean M. Burks. SIZE: 40-3/4″ h of back x 25-1/2″ h of arm. CONDITION: Refinished & re-covered, very good overall, repolished and with newly woven back and seat. 9-23143 (150-250)
