FRAMED AUTOGRAPH: THOMAS NAST; (German/American, 1840-1902). Collage including a 3-1/2″ x 4″ hand drawn pen and ink sketch of the artist signing his name on an easel and dated “April 22nd, 1869″. Also included is an oval engraving of Santa Claus and youth, also an envelope from the Thomas Nast Centennial with stamp and reproduction woodcut. Housed in a period Eastlake gilt and ebonized frame with green and red mattes. SIZE: Total: 20-1/4″ x 16-1/2”. PROVENANCE: Collection of Elwyn Dearborn, Medford, NJ & Portland, ME.
