LOT OF BOX AND PHOTOGRAPH BELONGED TO GERONIMO, CIRCA 1900. 1) Wooden box: lid made of a picture frame, with a picture of Geronimo. “Signed photograph of Geronimo taken at Ft. Sill. This photograph was the personal property of Geronimo and was held by a handmade wooden frame which was hung in his cabin at the fort. After the death of Geronimo, Al-che-say acquired it and later gave it to Moon.” [Driebe 1997: 353]. Size: 7-1/4” high x 13-3/4” long x 10-1/4” wide. Box had orig. contained screwdrivers for Springfield rifles. Carved on box “Fort Sill, OK”. CONDITION: Wood of box and frame dry, red ink labeling of matte around photograph blurred as if from being wet. 2) Color photograph, unframed contemporary print: Geronimo kneeling on one knee, holding a gun.
