NEW ENGLAND SHERATON STENCILED PINE DRESSING TABLE. Second quarter 19th century. In black paint, the rectangular table with two aligned step-back drawers above, fitted with a scrolled splashguard. The table with long frieze drawer, all stencil decorated with grapevines and floral sprays, the whole raised on ball and ring-turned swelled cylindrical legs. SIZE: Ht 35 1/2″ L 32″ D 16″ PROVENANCE: Estate of Dr. Lee W. Richards Jr. of Augusta, Maine. Obstetrician & Augusta’s first specialist.
