GALLAGER CIVIL WAR CARBINE. Cal. 54 Perc. Standard model with 22-1/2” round bbl, pinched front sight with 2-position flip rear sight. Straight grip walnut stock with smooth steel carbine buttplate. Sling bar and ring on left side of wrist with “S” shaped lever and a patch box containing a spare nipple on right side of butt. SN 10927. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains 10-15% blue toward muzzle with the balance being a gray/brown patina. Receiver retains an even dark brown patina with blue showing through that may clean better. Wood is sound and retains generous amounts of original finish. No cartouche visible. Bright shiny bore. 4-48662 JR661 (1,750-2,750)
