CIRCA 1900 PLAINS TRADE CROSS NECKLACE AND HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPH OF CHIEF GALL. Pendant cross made of copper with two rocker-engraved bars ring inset at top for suspension. Overlaid with twelve silver-colored domed discs; three oval glass trade beads suspended as pendants felt backing, with black printed design, for buffalo hide lap robe; leather tie thongs. Size: Necklace proper 26-1/2”, long cross is 6-1/2” x 8-1/2”. CONDITION: Cross somewhat patinated and oxidized; remains of gummed sticker on back. Felt necklace slightly faded. Late 19th C. sepia-tone photograph holder of Pizi (Gall), and son (print after D.F. Barry original). Size: 6-3/4” x 4-3/4”.
