VERA EUGENIA ANDRUS (aka Vera Harriet Owen) (American, 1894-1979) “IN-THE-WALLED-TOWN, CONCARNEAU”. Oil on canvasboard town scene shows two women approaching a large archway from different sides with houses beyond. Signed lower right “Vera H Owen”. Attached to back of board is a 1928 North Shore Art Association 6th Annual Exhibition label. Concarneau is on the Atlantic side of coastal France. Housed in a fine modern carved and gilt wood frame with gilt wood title and artist plaque. SIZE: 11-3/4″ x 15-3/4″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-95038 (800-1,200)
