MAYNARD MODEL 1873 IMPROVED HUNTERS RIFLE NO. 8 SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. appears to be 35-30. Blued finish, 26” oct to round bbl, pinched front sight with two position V-notch rear sight and an elevating tang peep sight. Straight stock with carbine type smooth steel buttplate. SN 27087. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 85-90% original blue with scattered light surface rust. Receiver is mostly a blue-brown patina. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish.
