NEW ENGLAND SHERATON INLAID MAHOGANY SETTEE. 19th Century, possibly Massachusetts. The rectangular padded back continuing to downward curving arms and scrolled reeded supports with flamed birch rectangular panels and checkerboard stringing. Centering the rectangular padded seat raised on swelled cylindrical reeded and ring turned frontal legs, the rear legs back swept. Upholstered overall in a pale green velvet now worn. SIZE: 35-1/2″ h x 76″ l. PROVENANCE: From a Maine home. CONDITION: Structurally very good with nice patina. 9-21982 (1,000-3,000)
