LOT OF 3 EARLY MANNEQUINS. An unusual grouping of three early life-size mannequins believed to be of European manufacture from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Constructed of composition or papier mache material, the bodies are covered with a cotton batting and other materials. With realistic facial features and hands they are affixed to wooden display stands of more recent vintage. While without wigs or clothes (except boots/shoes) they are ready for display as is or with fine period French fashions. SIZE: All approx. 66″ h plus 3-1/2″ pedestal. CONDITION: Worn original surfaces with some cracking and loss. Cloth coverings show deterioration.
