ROBBINS, KENDALL & LAWRENCE UNDERHAMMER RIFLE. Cal. 34. SN 956. 23-3/16” octagonal bbl, marked “ROBBINS / KENDALL & / LAWRENCE / WINDSOR VT. / 1846” on top of the bbl and “SMITH’S / IMPROVED / PATENT / STUD / LOCK” on the bbl tang. The German silver patchbox is engraved with a bird carrying a leaf. The other German silver mounts, the hammer, and the bbl tang have light scroll engraving. The bbl has been set back slightly. The ramrod and two pipes have been replaced. The rear sight is missing. CONDITION: Rust/brown patina with heavy vise marks on the bbl, heavy rust on the nose of the hammer. Stock has been repaired, cleaned and reoiled. Action is fine. 4-52508 FS31 (500-1,000)
