INTERESTING TWO-PART SILVER TABLE DECORATIONS IN THE FORM OF A SHIP. 1) Bottom section being the boat hull with serpent figurehead decorated with Neptune and putti figures set on four wheels. The edge marked “800” with Continental hallmarks, possibly Austrian. The top part of the ship also marked “800” with Continental hallmarks sets into the base and forms a compartment of unknown use. A quartered deck at the stern with man at ship’s wheel, a small canopy area with cherub finial having three people at bench and table. Two other men in back of two cannons at bow. The three silver sails having crests all with appropriate rigging. WEIGHT: 18 tr. oz. SIZE: 9-1/2″ h x 9″ l. CONDITION: Some rigging loose, one wheel with repair.
