*WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 DELUXE LIGHTWEIGHT TAKEDOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. SN 146068. Late Model ’86 with 21-1/4″ lightweight tapered rnd bbl with pedestal front sight & semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has scarce feature of a full length takedown magazine. Mounted with nicely figured flame grain American walnut with “H” style checkered forearm & capped pistol grip stock, 13-1/4″ over a Winchester hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Bbl trimmed as noted, otherwise is fine overall with bbl & magazine tube retaining about 90% strong orig blue, thin toward upper end. Receiver retains about 60-70% orig blue, stronger on sides, thin & turning silver on bottom. Lever & hammer retain generous amounts of orig blue. Stock has a small replaced chip at toe & a gouge on left side, otherwise wood is sound & overall retains 80-85% orig piano varnish finish with dark oil staining about wrist.
