RAMSDELL UNDERHAMMER RIFLE. Cal. 42. 22” octagonal bbl, marked “C.V. Ramsdell / BANGOR Me” on the upper left flat. The tang is notched for an extended rear sight but the one mounted in the center of the bbl is correct and the only one that has ever been installed. An inscription plate on the cheekpiece is engraved in script “Thomas P. Sawyer / Sedgwick, Me”. CONDITION: Smooth gray patina with scattered light pitting on the bbl. Stock and furniture are fine. Trigger guard is repaired. Action is fine. 4-52605 FS48 (1,000-1,500)
