FRENCH PROVINCIAL CARVED PINE CORNER CUPBOARD. Late 18th century. In one piece, serpentine frontal crest above the triangular case with bow front, frieze applied with oval carved floral paterae above a pair of arched astragal glazed four-light doors opening to an interior fitted with three fixed shaped shelves, flanked by fluted pilasters above the mid molded center carved with rectangular fielded panels centering a carved diamond above a pair of fielded paneled bowed doors opening to an interior fitted with a single conforming shelf. Interior surfaces retain old brown paint over blue over original cream paint. Exterior now down to natural polished pine surface. SIZE: 85″ h x 33″ w x 19″ d. PROVENANCE: Robert Frederick Woolworth Estate, Monmouth, Maine. (F.W. Woolworth Store). CONDITION: Surfaces as noted. Structurally very good with old cosmetic restoration.
