FRENCH FAIENCE PART DINNER SERVICE WITH MARK OF VEUVE PERRIN. Each piece marked with the potter’s monogram for Veuve Perrin in purple/red above “FRANCE”. It is our belief that this is a pseudo mark for the potter, probably 20th century as opposed to 18th century. Nice set decorated overall with floral sprays centering rosebuds with scrolling pink and blue wavy marks and with pink shell borders. Comprised of a footed tureen with artichoke and carrot knop, 8-1/2″ h x 12-1/2″ l; two oval footed vegetable dishes with floral knops, 6″ h; 10-1/2″ diameter bowl decorated with central floral spray; 16″ x 12-1/2″ platter with feather edge; pair of oval two-handled sauce boats, 9″ l; pair of coffer form covered boxes with yellow borders, 2-1/2″ h x 4″ l; floral decorated chocolate pot with lid, 8-1/2″ h; pair of soup bowls with scalloped edges and corbel handles, 6″ dia.; pair of oval individual trays with teapot and creamer each with lid and strawberry knop, 9-3/4″ tray, 6″ h teapot, 5″ h creamer; single salt shaker, 5″ h; four demitasse cups and two large cups, 2-3/4″ dia., 4″ dia.; four demitasse saucers, 5″; two coffee cup saucers, 6-1/2″; four butter/desert plates, 6″. PROVENANCE: Robert Frederick Woolworth Estate, Monmouth, Maine. (F.W. Woolworth Store). CONDITION: Generally good, many pieces with shallow chips to rims and edges.
