ROSA MARIE BONHEUR (French, 1822-1899) TWO WORKS: “FT. LEAVENWORTH” AND “INDIAN REGION MAP”. 1) Three part pencil sketch showing landscape scenes. The top shows a view of hills and river; Middle with hills; Bottom having a river with figures in canoes. Unsigned. Short inscription in French at top. 2) Line drawn map showing the Missouri, Ohio and Mississippi Rivers having watercolor Great Lakes area and Gulf of Mexico. Unsigned. Identically housed in gilt carved wood modern frames with linen mattes and gold liners. SIZE: Sight: 9″ x 5-1/2″ each. PROVENANCE: Attached to reverse is a Gerald P. Peters label, also a label from the Collection of Robert L. B. Tobin. CONDITION: River map has small area of loss at top, otherwise good. 9-93099 (1,500-2,500)
