WESLEY WEBBER (American, 1841-1914) “VIEW IN WEST GARDINER, MAINE”. Unframed oil on canvas landscape of central Maine scene shows a family resting near forest with rocks. A pasture is seen with a herd of cows under a white and dark cloud sky. Glimpses of sun shines through blue openings. Signed lower left. Titled in pencil on back of stretcher and dated 1894. SIZE: 25″h x 30″w. PROVENANCE: From an old Southern Maine Collection. CONDITION: Very good, one small patch on reverse. Some inpainting in sky. 9-94117 (1,000-2,000)
