CIVIL WAR ERA MAYNARD SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 50. SN 21658. Standard carbine with 20″ oct bbl, pinched blade front sight & 3-leaf carbine rear sight. Receiver has a sling bar & ring on the left side. Stock is straight grain American walnut with straight grip & squared carbine buttplate. It has two legible cartouches on the left side of the wrist. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains about 75% strong orig blue with some light surface pitting & discoloration. Receiver has traces of orig case colors with the balance turned silver with some mottled patina. Stock is sound with usual nicks, dings & scratches and a coating of old finish.
