STARR PERCUSSION CARBINE. 20” bbl marked “STARR ARMS, YONKERS, NY”. Breech marked “STARRS PATENTED SEPT. 17TH, 1858”. SN 17012. CONDITION: Bore is very good. Metal surfaces appear refinished overall. Bbl retains 80% plumb/blue refinish. Frame and lock retain 50% plus recase color, as does hammer. No cartouche in wood visible, though various metal parts have inspector’s initials. “HGS” is stamped on bbl housing. 4-56337 JS73 (1,500-2,500)
