This is at the very end of the Sharps rifles attributed to Berdan’s Sharpshooters at the beginning of the Civil War. “AWM” cartouche is faintly visible on the left side of the stock. Other is visible but not readable. CONDITION: Blue/brown patina overall with scattered light pitting. Stock is cracked at the rear of the lockplate. Mechanically fine. 4-57296 FS208 (5,000-8,000)
