NEW ENGLAND COMB-BACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR WITH ROCKERS. Late 18th early 19th century. The comb with serpentine crest on five spindles joined to the birdcage back with seven rod spindles. Simulated bamboo stiles continuing to conforming arms joined to a shaped saddle seat raised on simulated bamboo legs joined by an H-form stretcher on shaped rockers. SIZE: 41″ h (back); 15-3/4″ h (seat). PROVENANCE: From a Connecticut home. CONDITION: Chair retains original surfaces with chocolate brown color and good patina. 9-22100 (400-600)
