CIVIL WAR ERA MAYNARD SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 50. SN 16914. Standard carbine with 20″ oct bbl, pinched blade front sight & 3-leaf carbine rear sight. Receiver has a sling bar & ring on the left side. Stock is straight grain American walnut with straight grip & squared carbine buttplate. It has two legible cartouches on the left side of the wrist. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl retains about 92-93% strong bright orig blue with a couple of small dings & light edge wear. Receiver retains 30-40% faded case colors with the balance a mottled silver/brown. Stock is sound with usual nicks & dings and retains most of its hand rubbed oil finish.
