EXTREMELY RARE SMITH BROS. PRESENTATION VASE. A large and unusual example features a shaded yellow to white background with an outstanding decoration of roses, leaves, branches and buds also a butterfly and bee. This vase features the finest decoration by the Smith Bros. known to exist. Interesting note accompanies the vase that indicates this was purchased from the Condon sisters in New Bedford, MA in 1970 as a wedding gift to their mother in the 1890’s from their relative the Smith Bros. Features rare original paper label and an exhibition label from the New Bedford Whaling Museum from their exhibit of the Smith Bros. Fine Decorated Glassware 1994. SIZE: 9-3/4” t x 6-1/2” dia.
