Estimate should be $700-$900. SALESMAN SAMPLE JACK O’ LANTERN HOT-P-NUTS VENDOR. This hot nut vendor contained within a leather case/trunk comes with a stack of agreement papers for placing these machines on location. Most likely from the 1920s this aluminum based with glass sides and aluminum top would heat the peanuts and the store merchant would then scoop out the desired amount to the prospective patron. Frosted glass obscures the view of the heating element and by means of a fine mesh screen the peanuts are roasted above. A really neat country store item and the best part is that it is in all original, untouched, as found condition. SIZE: 11″ t. CONDITION: Very fine original. Aluminum has very light oxidation and a good polish would bring it back to its original luster. 1-13498 (600-900) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Fall 2013 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
