SET OF SIX PAINT DECORATED PLANK SEAT CHAIRS. Mid 19th century. Each with a rectangular rolled crest rail above a horizontal slat joined to four lozenge spindles above a shaped plank seat raised on tapered splayed cylindrical legs joined by a box stretcher. The splat, slat, and seat rail decorated with painted fruit and floral clusters all on a green ground. SIZE: Height of back 34″ CONDITION: Structurally good, retaining original paint showing moderate wear to painted surfaces. 9-97622 (800-1,200)
