FINE NEW ENGLAND SHERATON TIGER MAPLE DROP LEAF TABLE. Second quarter 19th century. The rectangular top with hinged conforming leaves, projecting above the conforming apron, raised on 6 turned cylindrical legs, two of which hinged and rotating to support the leaves, all raised on ball feet. The whole with very strong figured graining. SIZE: 28-3/4″ h x 44″ d x 19″ w closed, 54-1/2″ w open. PROVENANCE: Estate of William Hoeschle of Belfast, Maine. CONDITION: Retains old scrubbed and polished surfaces, retaining good honey blond color. Excellent professional cosmetic repairs at hinges. 9-96571 (1,000-1,500)
