STEAMSHIP “S. S. FREDERIK VIII” SELF-FRAMED TIN SIGN. Extremely fine example of this sign from the Scandanavian-American Line shown departing New York Harbor, providing transatlantic passenger service between New York and Norway, Sweden & Denmark. She was just over 534 feet in length, built in Stettin, Germany in 1913 and took her maiden voyage in 1914 from Copenhagen, Denmark. Illustration is after the original painting by “F. Worms” and manufactured by the Passaic Metal Ware Co., Passaic, NJ. SIZE: 41” w. x. 31” h. CONDITION: Has had some professional color touch-up to spots of the faux wood finish tin border, but displays in very good to excellent condition. 1-10471 (800-1,200)
