SHERATON FIGURAL MAPLE DROP LEAF DINING TABLE. Circa 1840. The rectangular top with hinged leaves of figured and bird’s-eye maple, projecting above a straight apron, raised on six boldly turn legs, two of which swing to support the leaves, terminating in ringed cuffs and double-balled feet. SIZE: 28″ h x 47″ d x closed width 20″. 47″ x 62-1/2″ open. PROVENANCE: Collection of Elwyn Dearborn, Medford, NJ & Portland, ME. CONDITION: Very good overall with cleaned and polished old surfaces. Retains rich honey color. Structurally with a slight warp to one leaf. 9-95936 (1,000-2,000)
