Second half 19th century. 1) Six gallon crock decorated with a bird in underglaze blue perched on a sprig and with incised mark “NEW YORK/STONE WARE CO/FORT EDWARD N.Y./6”. 2) Four gallon crock decorated with a bird in underglaze blue perched on a sprig with incised mark “J. A. & C. W. UNDERWOOD/FT EDWARD NY/4”. SIZE: 1) 13″ h x 13″ dia. 2) 11-1/2″ h x 11-1/2″ dia. CONDITION: 1) With large chip to exterior of top rim, otherwise good. 2) With hairline crack and burst bubbles in blue decoration. 9-22903 (500-700)
