EARLY 20TH CENTURY STOREFRONT DIORAMA. Purported to be a replica of a real store front in the Milwaukee area at the turn of the 20th century, or the story goes, it was commissioned by the owner to have a miniature copy made for his children. Exceptional attention paid to detail such as opening front door, store shelves, pattern glass clerestory, internal flooring, name applied to front picture window, and other external architectural details. Certainly a fine period piece that would appeal not only to country store collectors, but perhaps to doll collectors as well for display purposes. SIZE: 33-1/4″ w x 31″ h x 16″ d. CONDITION: Overall very fine all-original untouched condition, missing a small piece of molding along front edge. 8-76268 (2,000-3,000)
