ENGLISH OR CONTINENTAL CARVED FOLK ART WALKING STICK. This carved and decorated example, possibly as early as the 18th century, rendered in a style reminiscent of the Elizabethan era. The burr grip carved in the form of a female head, applied with brass studwork in the form of a headdress. The upper shaft bound with a silvered cartouche and also decorated with brass studs. The tip with a metal band. SIZE: L 33 3/4″ CONDITION: Structurally fine with appropriate wear. The shaft surfaces originally painted or lacquered now showing only traces.
