SEAL BOX. 20th century, China. Engraved metal mounts. Surface lacquered with gold dragons on a dark brown ground. Fitted with hinged lid opening to a well, the front mounted with a pair of panel doors opening to a lacquered interior fitted with five drawers, each with gilt scrolling floral vinery. SIZE: 12″ h x 11-1/4″ l x 9″ d. CONDITION: Lacquered surfaces with small areas of loss along edges of box and base. Also with shrinkage cracks throughout. 9-28000 (800-1,200)
