SALESMAN SAMPLE OR PATENT MODEL FERTILIZER DISTRIBUTER. Circa 1910. Invented by C. Ruof (and is so marked) this farm wagon of wood and brass construction was likely intended to be horse drawn. It consists of a wooden trough suspended between two brass wagon wheels and a formed brass saddle seat. A multiple gear mechanism enacts the adjustable sifter in the bed and distributes the product about the ground. Accompanied by early copies of patent papers, schematic drawings, and photos of Ruof’s invention. SIZE: 17″ l x 9″ w. CONDITION: Very good to excellent, hopper bed is detached but an easy procedure to reattach. 1-10539 (2,500-3,500)
