NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL INLAID CHERRY ONE-DRAWER STAND. Circa 1810. Probably Connecticut. The square top with shaped cock-beaded edge centering an inlaid panel within a string inlaid border above the conforming frieze fitted with a single drawer raised on square tapered legs, with sting inlay borders and cross-banded cuff. SIZE: 28-1/2″ h x 18-1/4″ w x 17-3/4″ d. PROVENANCE: Descended through the family of Shepherd Brooks, Boston, MA. & Medford, MA. CONDITION: Table retains original surfaces with minor old imperfections including crack and small loss to top edge and chip to proper left drawer front. Otherwise very good. 9-22193 (800-1,200)
