CHIPPENDALE CARVED MAHOGANY VENEERED LOOKING GLASS. Late 18th century. Rectangular beveled mirrorplate within a gilt slip of leaf tips within molded mahogany frame. The scrolled and pierced crest with conforming ears, centered with applied carved gilt cartouche of leaf tips, with conforming apron. SIZE: 42-1/2″ h x 24-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Structurally very good with original mirrorplate and backboard and with old professional repairs to veneer in crest and apron. 9-22026 (800-1,200)
