NEW ENGLAND SHERATON MAHOGANY SEWING STAND. Circa 1840. The rectangular hinged lid with reeded edge with astragal ends opening to a pair of opposing demilune storage wells centering a removable work tray. The cabinet fitted with a bank of two drawers flanked by reeded pilasters raised on cylindrical reeded legs with ringed cuffs. SIZE: 29″ h x 26″ w x 13″ d. CONDITION: Cabinet retains original surfaces. The hinged lid with old repair at proper left hinge. Otherwise good. 9-22501 (1,000-1,500)
