LEE MARVIN’S CUSTOM MADE 130# CLASS ROD WITH FIN-NOR REEL. The one-piece, handcrafted rod having a detachable curved metal butt section. The rod is made by “ERSKINE E. FITCH, CUSTOM TACKLE MAKER, CAIRNS”. Custom inscribed “FOR LEE MARVIN”. Having a serial number 253/2-74. The curved butt section being a requirement of Lee’s. The reel having a serial number 12 657 and believed to be 130 class. The reel appears to be complete. Custom inscribed “BLUE HAWAII, KONA”. Blue Hawaii was the yacht owned by Lee Marvin. SIZE: Rod (w/o butt)74″, butt section 27″, 101″ overall. Reel (inside spool width) 4″. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Lee Marvin through Pamela Marvin. CONDITION: Rod very good. Reel appears to be complete, shows some use with light scratches, otherwise very good. The butt section in very good condition but appearing not to attach to rod section. 9-99509, 99502 (1,000-1,500)
