Locomotive smoke stack/spark arrestor patented June 10, 1879 by William K. Thornton, #216,363. 3. Car coupling patented January 8, 1889 by Hartwell Braley, #395,733. 4. Car coupling patented September 6, 1881 by A.C. Rodgers, #246,638. 5. Draw bar for railway cars patented December 30, 1879 by F. Godley, #223,130 (replacement tag). 6. Guard baskets for sewing machines patented August 6, 1872 by B.S. Tower, #130,339. Tags are very good. SIZE: Largest is 12″ l. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Smokestack is fair, Braley coupler tag is missing two corners, otherwise lot average is very good. 1-12721 (500-800)
