TWO VERMONT SALT GLAZE JUGS AND UNMARKED TWO GALLON CROCK. Second half 19th century. All in underglaze blue. 1) Two gallon jug decorated with leaves and with incised mark “E. NORTON & CO/BENNINGTON VT/2”. 2) Decorated with spray of leaf tips and with incised mark “L. W. FENTON./ST. JOHNSBURY. VT”. 3) Crock decorated with “2” above stylized tulip, unmarked. SIZE: 1) 13″ h. 2) 11-1/2″ h. 3) 9″ h x 9″ dia. CONDITION: 1) With bubbles in underglaze blue and with minor staining on base rim, otherwise good. 2) Old shallow chips on spout rim, otherwise good. 3) Roughness to “2”, otherwise very good. 9-22898 (400-600)
