PATENT MODEL WEIGHING SCALES. Patented November 30, 1875 by William W. Reynolds, #170,191. Wooden platform with two turned columns supporting brass box with hinged front holding the scale mechanism from which hangs three mismatched brass weights. Accompanied by original patent tag and remnants of receiving tag (generally good). SIZE: 10-1/2″ l x 6-1/2″ w x 9-1/4″ h. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Generally good with wear and chips to wood surfaces. 1-12672 (400-800)
