LOT OF 2 PATENT MODELS. 1. Traction wheel patented December 21, 1880 by Joseph Allon, #235,422. Brass traction wheel with textured perimeter. Accompanied by interesting original patent tag that indicates the inventor submitted his model but died before receiving the patent. Patent tag and receiving tag are darkened, stained and worn. 2. Patent model or salesman sample sickle bar mower (no tag). Brass model with gear mechanism, saddle seat and partial sickle bar. SIZE: 4-3/4″ d and 8-1/4″ wide, respectively. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan. CONDITION: Generally good.
