TWO-SIDED POCKET WATCH TRADE SIGN. Late 19th century, American. Carved in pine with an iron ring depicting a pocket watch. Each side mounted with a Roman numeral painted dial with steel filigree hands beneath a glass plate. The watch case in brown paint. The iron ring in gold paint. SIZE: 21-1/2″ h x 14″ dia. PROVENANCE: Robert Frederick Woolworth Estate, Monmouth, Maine. (F.W. Woolworth Store). CONDITION: Painted surfaces showing effects of weathering and flaking but with good structural integrity. Discoloration to dials and with slight rusting to hands. Overall very good. 9-23556 (1,000-1,500)
