LOT OF 3 FUNERARY PATENT MODELS. Includes 1. Self sealing burial case patented May 5, 1868 by P.F. Lawshe, #77,627. Two part heavy pot metal sarcophagus with original patent tag (deteriorated) item marked with inventor’s information. 2. Tin embalming table (no patent tag but does retain O. Rundle Gilbert tag). 3. Coffin handle patent August 1, 1876 by F.X. Gartland, #180,570. Elaborate hinged handle mounted to wooden plank. Accompanied by patent tag (couple small tears). SIZE: Longest is 12″ l. PROVENANCE: The late Terry Wesner collection, Chelsea, Michigan.
