TALMAGE KENTUCKY-TYPE RIFLE. Cal. 50. 41-3/4” oct bbl. Marked “J. TALMAGE” on top of the bbl. Commercial lock has been reconverted and is the second lock in this rifle. The ramrod is a replacement. Patchbox catch is jammed. CONDITION: Heavy rust/brown patina with light to moderate pitting. Patina on the brass is very light. Stock has cracks and chips as well as some repairs and has been refinished. Front 13” of the left hand side of the stock has been replaced and is non-matching maple.
