MOUNT LEBANON SHAKER COVERED OVAL STORAGE BOX. Circa 1869. This fine oval example inscribed in pen and ink under the lid “Presented by Sister Nancy L. Lockwood to M. Catherine Allen/Mount Lebanon/ Col. Co. N.Y./Sept. 1869”. SIZE: 5-3/4″ h x 13-1/2″ l x 9-3/4″ w. CONDITION: Box retains original pumpkin to honey brown color with original surfaces. The top with some restorable water staining. Very good overall. 9-97046 (1,500-2,500)
