MILLS ELK TOKEN-PAY TRADE STIMULATOR. Machines at the turn of the century were usually quite elaborate with much attention to the exterior cabinets. The ELK is constructed of cast-iron with somewhat simple sides but highly embossed with decorations. One to five coins could be played with varying odds depending on the symbol chosen. If by chance you were a winner, a token was dispensed through the side of machine into a small cup. Nickel-plated finish is intact and in excellent condition, with some overall minor wear here and there. Original marquee also present; however, back door constructed of cast-iron is a quality replica. A number of different companies produced the ELK, including Caille, Paupa & Hockreim, and Watling. The reel bundle displays a poker hand as well as your fortune, paper reel bundle is an older replacement, original reel bundle is present but incomplete.
